Raw Fish – Parasite Infection

If you have any plan to offer rice and salmon (raw) as a weekend treat to your dog, you might want to cancel it right now. Fish varieties such as trout or salmon are often infected by a certain type of parasite which in turn is contaminated by a bacteria that has a deadly effect on a dog’s health. If it sounds complicated, let us make it easier to remember – avoid offering raw fish to your pet. Having said that, you can surely feed cooked fish as the parasite gets destroyed at a high temperature making it safe for consumption.
